Djokovic beats Nadal in final of Madrid Masters. Nadal hadn’t lost on clay for 34 or so matches. Djokovic has now won 32 straight this year, the best start since McEnroe in 1984. This is kind of the definition of being in form; it’s like he ascended to the Zone in January and has found some way of just staying there. Murray’s loss in the Aussie Open final, limp though it was, looks less bad in this context.
